Maybe they crystalize his position, maybe they don't... people do vote for and against bills based on technicalities... those are tough to explain!

Going to war against Iraq is very tough to explain, too ... but you aren't cutting Bush any slack on THAT. Sort of a double standard, wouldn't you say?

I don't see the chances of that happening as being very high, and I don't see the entire country being in a constant state of fear and vigil as helpful to the situation, at all!

I don't think the country is in a state of "fear", but they damned well had better be paying attention. As to how "high" the chances are, we can't tolerate it if it is a one-in-a-million shot.

Having said that, we need to do something... spending trillions to turn dictatorships into failed-states ain't it.

We haven't spent trillions and it is certainly premature to declare ANYTHING in Iraq a failure. We're watching the birth of a new government. These things take years, decades.

One of the principle differences between adults and children is that children expect instant gratification. Why is it the Left ALSO expects instant gratification?
