An indigent patient in the United States can (I stress "CAN") receive better care than the same indigent patient in Germany. He has to try. But he can get it.

The European plans are ALL suffering now, and moving more toward plans akin to those in use in the United States. The indigent, who can probably get a needed CT scan in the US within hours, may be dead before they get it in Europe. Wait times for many procedures are obscene there.
