If what you say Bush meant then he surely is not a good communicator. And that will start to show in the debates. Can he think on his feet.

Oh now we have to interpret what the straight talker bush meant when he said something. He was right when he said we can't win a war against a common noun. We can win a war against al queda but he thought they were in Iraq. His judgement can be summed up by the people he collected to rationalize his views. Chalabi played him like the chump he is. Wilsons wife who was an undercover agent investigating nuclear arms was outed for political purposes. Ferth sold secrets to Israel. Ken Lay is a crook but he still keeps Enron ed gillespie as the RNC chair. Wake up.

Did a variant with an e come into existence not too long ago? I am asking because the dictionary I have been using was printed in 1972.

I presume your e was a typo like that r in lieu of a c you saw in my post yesterday?
