The belief that Israel is holding US hostage is, imho, well discussed in the article at rense.com. I have referred to the US and the people in the US quite interchangeably at times. Let's face it! Oil is an indispensable commodity. It is the vital source for gasolines and other fuels and a vast array of other useful by-products that serve as precursors for drugs, fertilisers and plastics & etc & etc. To remain as the #1 industrial nation in the world, the US must have OIL and lots of it, and to ensure it is #1 in the world, the US has to have control of it! To be sure, Israel, "9/11" and the Jihadist Terror provide rather serendipitously, excellent excuses for the US to be involved in the Middle East
