This is what George Bush said. The Democratic attempt to use his clause as RED MEAT in order to attract a few independent flies still looking for a place to land will not work. The Dimwitted Demos are beginning to suspect that to be true. They've got about as much mileage out of that clause as they are likely to get.

Now, they are scratching around looking for something else.

Good luck, guys and gals. Maybe when Kerry reshuffles his campaign staff and calls in a few experienced field generals he can get his campaign back on track. Meanwhile, it is stuck in the muds of Nantucket Sound.
