If you talk to some Californians, you'll hear that some voted for Arnold solely as protection against Bush. After Bush refused to protect California from his buddies, Kenny-boy, and the rest, many Californians first blamed Davis and now see the correct culprit - the Bush administration. Bush hates California because of our liberalness. But, the nationwide popularity of Arnold forms a bit of a shield against any further obvious political shenanigans (we hope). Arnold seems to be pretty above-the-boards, so we have hope of not incuring any more petty political wrath from Bush and his cronies.
