Hence my statement that Kerry is a "peacenik at heart," though I admit exaggerating a bit when I said that. All the better for you and the other honest liberals, but remember that the election is all about the "swing vote." Peacenik at heart? You make them sound like dirty words. To explain it away would require giving Kerry the benefit of the doubt, and the only reason his supporters are giving it to him is because they disagree with or simply dislike Bush. Or, because it's a middle-of-the-road sort of feeling and there are probably tens of millions of Americans who felt that exact same way he does... Maybe Kerry is simply a left-wing moderate? That's the way I read it. I'd rather have a lefty, but I'll take a moderate left-winger over someone on the right wing. -Z
