ray gun- you come up with some interesting stuff sometimes. i always miss your posts when you get suspended. i understand where you're coming from. i already told you it was perfect. BTW, might i request that you go easy on the innuendoes about the meek and well-intentioned weaklings? i might get the mistaken impression that you're insinuating something in an effort to "poke the cat", i.e.... holylemon.com fighting and killing is just fine between consenting contestants... but don't mess with the non-consenting... it could come back to bite you someday... with no warning and no rules of engagement. besides, you have plenty of consenting contestants to keep you busy for the rest of your life. just a thought. -dustman (not gandhi)

If I remember my history correctly, 1a. To protest Jallianwala Bagh massacre by General Dyre, Bhagatsingh threw a bomb in British Parliament. He was arrested and hung for being a terrorist by the British Govt. 1b. To protest the same, Rabindra Nath Tagore returned his Knighthood the British Govt. and 2. Subhash Bose was on the list of British war criminals till about 20 years ago. His death still is mystery in plane crash in Taiwan.

No wonder you admire him. an admiration for the techniques of organization and administration that the Nazis were trying out in Germany, and that Mussolini's fascists had been trying out in Italy. ............................................. We now have to deal with the question of Bose's political ideology at this point, especially the question of whether or not he was a fascist. Well, in a word: yes, Bose was now a fascist. He had no problems with openly admiring fascism. .................................................... Bose believed, the machinery of the state had to be in the hands of a single, powerful, reforming party organization, such as the Nazi Party in Germany or the Communist Party in the Soviet Union. ............................................................. What are we to make of the fact that he wanted to invite the Germans and the Japanese to invade India? And how do we reconcile his heroic status with the fact that he aligned himself with Nazi Germany, and that he openly advocated dictatorship as the best form of government for India? .............................................. There is no getting away from the fact that Bose deliberately ignored the moral evil that Nazi Germany represented. He had lived in Germany for much of the 1930s and the early 40s. He must have known something of what was going on. He had the courage to speak out against some of the racist aspects of the Nazi ideology, and even speak his mind to Hitler himself. But he was not sufficiently disturbed by Nazism to reject Hitler's help. Similarly, his alliance with Japan ignored the atrocities that the Japanese had perpetrated against people in the countries they had occupied. ............................................................ Bose didn't seem to realize that the methods you choose do matter in the final analysis.
