Obviously you can get a lot better picture by looking at an issue in different timeframes.http://www.ttrader.com/mycharts/display.php?p=26115&u=cthruu&a=cthruu%5C%27s%20charts&id=879 (Oops! they both displayed in 3-day) Here it isttrader.com There are may advantages to TCnet, especially indicators. There are some limitations. When compared to TradeStation, for example, the indicators are somewhat limited; back-testing abilities are not there and some functionality is limited. The universe is limited to around 7,600 stocks included with the system and some underlying indicators like put/call ratio, bull/bear sentiments, etc. are not available. The price levels are not displayed in exact pennies and I would like to see a feature where one can point to a price and exact high/low will be displayed. This is available by clicking "." key, however. The universe of 7,600 stocks is enough to find trading opportunities at any given date. There is a powerful feature, called "Personal Criteria formulas" in TCNet which I have used extensively. This and "easyscan" allow you to create your own scanning criteria. The scan takes only a few minutes and you have a lot of setups presented to you. Do you want stocks trading at 90 day high? inside sticks? reversal setups, islands, trending stocks, etc.? Do you want high EPS issues above $10? Volume surge - today or in last given days? gappers? I have all of those built in. You can also scan for high beta/high volatility stocks. You can sort them with one click. The functionality is limitless. There is no ADX built in but you can write a formula for it. There are people writing criteria all the time and they are available for you to download and plug into your system. As I said - I have used quite a few software packages and finally settled on TCNet and Advanced GET for my trading. Further, the success in trading can not be only attributed to your software package. Success depends on the effectiveness and discipline of the person using the tools. If you want to check out, see all my posts on the other thread where I have been posting for last several months. I believe I have a pretty good track record. Here is the message I posted about RIMM today..Message 20474254 I have no financial interest in TCNet or Advanced GET. I am just a trader, in addition to my other day jobs, like many here. :)
