What's with this RNC stuff tonight? I can't find a good web link, but the announcers discussed this during the gymnastics coverage after it happened. Here's the first link I could find to show you it's not just my story:

It was the IOC who would not agree to the second gold

That's not what the report on the ABC Evening news said the other day. They reported that Korea would not agree to a 2nd gold, and that they would sue Hamm to get it. They even interviewed the head of the Korean olympic group saying as much. They then continued that the Americans withdrew their support for a 2nd gold after that.
