P.S.: I just volunteered to work some weekends for the Kerry campaign in NH. Could be fun, and I really want to help. The fact that the public seems to be buying the Swift Vets crap and the RNC "moderates" is scaring the s**t out of me.

I hear ya! Kerry let the Bushies get the ball. Kerry should be running with stuff like the Rumsfeld article I posted where ole Rummie said the war would be over in 5 months. They have got to get Iraq back on center stage; and then the economy if the job's report on Friday smells up the joint!

I don't know any that choose not to... I know many that can't afford it.

Life is about prioritizing and making choices. Maybe someone needs to do with a lesser car. Or eat out a couple fewer times a month. Or cut back on the beer budget. Or skip buying a few CDs a month.

As I said, a HUGE number of 20-30 year olds CHOOSE not to have health insurance.

I also know a number of companies that are hiring people as consultants rather than employees so that they can avoid offering it.

A "consultant" making $3,000/month saves the employer more in FICA taxes than the cost of the health coverage. Health coverage is a small part of this decision process. That said, this is a decision the employee makes. He could certain obtain health coverage on his own behalf. As I showed you a month ago, you can obtain reasonable coverage anywhere in the nation but NY for under $100/month. Most places, under $50/month. If someone can't afford this, they mose assuredly qualify for Medicaid or other coverage.

This is an issue that you have simply bought the liberal line on without taking time to understand it or know what the facts are. That's fine with me; it is your decision to do so, but you will continue to be ignorant about it so long as you do so.
