Damage yes, but the damage is far less than the neocon's would have you believe and for a different reason. While I suspect a small number of people might view the smear vet lies as important and truthful enough to vote for junior I think the small bounce junior has gotten in the past few weeks is from Kerry suspending his expenditures on advertising for the month of August. Kerry will also lose a small number of votes from some veterans who believe that a lot of other veterans have switched and therefore like lemmings they will think they have to switch too. Kerry will also gain some votes from people who think the swift vet lies and misleading statements are coming straight from Rove/junior and are too dirty.
