Bush was warned on 8-6-01 of imminent Al Qaida attacks, including hijackings inside the US. That's a fact. SO what did GW do? Ignored the warnings and went back on vacation. Even on 9-11 COndi Rice was to read a speech about threats to our national security. Terrorism and Al Qaida was not mentioned in the speech. Bush did absolutely zero to prevent 9-11, even disbanded Clinton's counter-terror operations and investigations into Saudi funding by the FBI. Ashcroft told the FBI to forget about terrorism. The clip is in FAHRENHEIT 9-11. Plain as day.

He (Clinton) thereby acknowledged that he recognized the threat in 1996 but did nothing.

You are sooo veeery WRONG!!!

Clinton did his very best to nip Jihadist problems in the bud by trying to achieve a historic peace accord between Israel and Palestine. Had he succeeded, I doubt (and Clinton just a few days said the same thing on CNN) that there would NOT have been a 9/11 and the Iraq quagmire.

IMHO, the peace accord failed largely because most of the land offered to Palestine is desert wasteland and also because a good many of the Palestinian territories would be surrounded by Israeli settlements and cut off from each other.

Ann, either you are NOT up to snuff or you are deliberately presenting false info.

Kerry will send Clinton back to make peace in Israel probably. Second time around after all this bloodshed, he might finally make it happen. Bush will not make peace in Israel. He thrives on constant war. The only way he can distract us from unpopular policies, scandals and domestic failures.
