How many swiftliars are there?

It doesn't matter. Kerry made the mistake of basing his campaign on Viet Nam and being the big hero, basically inviting the kind of response he's generated from many who served there. The fact the he won't authorize the release of his full service records speaks volumes. What a few swifties say, one way or the other, is a moot point at this stage of the game.

He's got no easy way out of the situation he brought upon himself. Should have left the distant past alone and concentrated on current events. He made his bed and now he's got to lay in it.

I don't particularly care for Bush and I'm not a Republican, but it sure looks as though Bush is going to wipe Kerry all over the electoral floor. The Dem's hooked up with a loser this year. Tough tata's. Life goes on...

Smearvets ought to be imprisoned. That is shameful. Using vets names who disagree with them is typical. The same is true with the photo of officers the Smearvets put on their web page. They claim only three of them support Kerry yet dishonestly fail to point out most of them don't support Bush either. Many have chosen to stay neutral but SMearvets dont respect their neutrality. This is pure dishonest smear tactic propaganda, nothing more. In fact there are only a small group of SmearVets who hate Kerry and most of them are either nuts, contradict earlier statements, have been proven bald-faced liars or have long histories with the rightwing GOP. Or all four.

There are 250+ SwiftVets for the Truth members. 60 of them served within yards of John Kerry in Vietnam for his 4month tour of duty. Kerry has a handful of other swiftboat veterans who support him and here & there one might speak up on his behalf as well. However the overwhelming number against JK and the fact that many are apolitical and simply want to set their military records straight, give the group enormous credibility. Their ads have convinced veterans & many other voters that Kerry's past actions have rendered him unfit for command of the U.S. military.

Chris, Don King was on CNBC earlier tonight. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. In his usual Don King enthusiasm, he was telling Black America to wake up and vote for a man who he thinks is a true leader. He's voting for Bush and trying to get Black America to vote for him as well.

In Don King fashion he says, "Bush is the man with a plan." America first, party second, Bush is more apt to unite this country than Kerry. These are his words, not mine. He was waving his flags and yelling 4 more years.

Maria wanted to focus on domestic issues but King wouldn't allow her. Without a safe America, domestic issues can't be achieved.

I didn't know the man was that smart. <lol> I have a new respect for him. Don King, the man who knows how to set priorities. How bout that!
