Canada fundamentals are looking good against US.

I also like GBP and considering CHP EUR and JY for short and intermediate duration.

Also have closed ended fund in sovereign debt at discounts to nav.

i was thinking about a split between GBP and EUR; i already have a lot of fairly short term AUD and NZD bonds.

I would 100% definately advise against going long GBP
The UK is at the end of its hiking cycle.
If housing falters in the UK and the market starts to price in cuts, and if Greenspan is silly enough to keep hiking here the pound will get crucified.

As for oil, you did not ask but before considering margin, I would recommend waiting for what looks like a blowoff bottom.
We have one decline off the top.
If this bounce is corrective and not the real thing, now is not the time to be a greedy pig IMO.

Whatever you do good luck.
Personally I recommend buying some June 06 LSS futures.
The UK is likely done hiking.
