.......... is almost as dumb as Kerry saying he would still authorize giving Bush "war powers" even knowing what he knows today, i.e. that Iraq has no weapons of mass destruction.

I maintain that if Kerry loses the election--which, by the way, I think he is going to lose--he can point to that nonsensical remark as being the turning point in the election. That was when he decided to try to get elected as "Bush lite" and not take on the chimp.

That remark was key in Maureen Dowd's assessment on David Letterman that Kerry is "lame." ... and it is clear to me that Maureen is anti-Bush.
