Clinton lied under oath. He was guilty of perjury which is an impeachable offense. It is black & white. No shades of gray needed. You're right it is. But what you don't mention is that the right wingers approved 100 million dollars to investigate every aspect of his life in order to finally catch him in this small lie after many years. It is all they could stick him with after all the other things turned out be a Compare this 100 million to the 3 million which junior approved for the 9-11 panel which was finally raised to about 11 million after several months and under much pressure. Junior fought to keep the 9-11 panel from even being started and only gave in under pressure from congress and the public. This is another example of the free ride which has been given to junior all through his term. If it wasn't for all branches of government being under the neocon's control he would have been impeached long ago.
