ALTHOUGH BUSH PLANNED TO BE IN NYC FOR FOUR DAYS, HE IS NOW ONLY GOING TO BE FLYING IN TO GIVE HIS SPEECH AND FLYING OUT RIGHT AFTERWARDS. HE WILL BE IN NYC FOR A TOTAL OF ONLY TWO HOURS!

Well, if he stayed for 4 days, you'd be complaining that he caused the damage the idiots in the streets are causing. There is no winning with you folks.

Police brutality? HA! Innocent people, you know what those are correct? People who innocently came to NYC in hopes of attending a convention and experessing their first amendment rights, right to assemble, right to free speech, etc. Instead they have to put up with hoodlums on the streets attacking them. If the police had any pride, which I am certain they do, they would do a bit more damamge to these scums who are assaulting innocent delegates. Instead, they are toeing the line and housing these idiots for a while and still they whine.

Like I said, the violent ones get violence back is how they should be handled. One of'em spits in my face and I am going to break his nose. It's the minimum I can do for their social education. After all, spitting is a physical assault, so I would be defending myself. What chicken#*&% jerks are up there. You back these people? You think it is OK what they are doing? And you supposedly are part of the party for the people. ::puke::

You pay lip service to an ideal and demean it by sanctioning their actions.

A group of New Yorkers put signs on their apartment and house roofs in support
of Kerry! Quite a few people got involved.

Why would Bush want to spend a lot of time in a city that he lost by 1.3 million votes in 2000? His time has been more productively spent outside of the city. Anticipation is the name of the game. I can hear the drum roll. And now....fresh from his cross country tour....

Kerry did the same thing prior to the Democratic convention. Smart politics.

Outside of NYC Gore outpolled Bush 2,404,333 to 2,004,648. In NYC Gore won with a plurality of about 1.3 million votes (1,703,364 to 398,726)
