Here are the facts. Vietnam came. KERRY joined the naval reserve, BUSH joined the Airforce Reserve. BOTH were in the reserves, Kerry's unit got called up, Bush's unit didnt. Its really that simple and really no difference between them. Kerry's 4 mos stint has been blown up well beyond reality by him. If you recall I was suspicious from the very beginning cause I too was there ONLY 13 MOS not 4 and the reality is that we had stints of hot stinking bug filled boredom punctuated by SHEAR TERROR, it isnt like you are in action all the time. I was an F.O. radio operator, that means I was IN FRONT of the troops and OUT with the bad guys and I sure dont have nearly the stories to tell that Kerry does riding safely on a boat. jdn
