Ann, you have made an error! Admit it instead of trying to fool yourself and others. Fooling yourself is OK but it is not OK trying to fool others.

According to the American Heritage Dictionary,

hearty means, amongst other things, marked by unrestrained warmth of feeling (as in a hearty welcome); vigorous; robust

BUT

hardy says nothing about vigorous and robust. Instead it says that hardy means,
stalwart and rugged; courageous; intrepid; brazenly daring; audacious & etc, with no mention of vigorous and robust that you claim it means.

Surely, hearty, meaning marked by unrestrained warmth of feeling is a far more appropriate adjective than hardy before the word laugh. That must be so if both of you are real flesh and blood humans!

Ann, you will do well to stop foisting off to others what is patently erroneous and false as being correct or the truth. For Pete's sake, try to be an honest and responsible Republican for once.
