First, thanks for agreeing with me that the "can't win" misquote by rabid Bush-haters was pathetically lame.

Second, although John Kerry did indeed vote for an alternate version of the funding bill for the Iraq war, when asked on Face the Nation whether Kerry would support the original one if his did not pass, Kerry's answer was, "Of course. It would be irresponsible not to." And then he didn't vote for the funding. Ooooops.

Third, Kerry made many appearances and made many speeches during his anti-war protest years (Winter Soldier, VVAW, etc) including the (in)famous discarding/not discarding of medals/ribbons that were his/not his....and Kerry's been running from all that as far and fast as he can (with good reason!). You don't want to keep calling attention to his Senate testimony, do you?
