Bush let 9-11 happen but has the nerve to say this "I believe the most solemn duty of the American president is to protect the American people." SO why did he ignore terrorism for so long with all the warnings coming in?

Bush has done just the opposite of this "To create jobs, we will make our country less dependent on foreign sources of energy." Not a single clean fuels program and no conservation programs. Nothing. All just promoting more and more oil dependency and fighting wars for oil as well.

Bush has been AWOL on health care. 4.5 million more people with it since he took office. and 12 billion in OUR money to the HMO's so he can use this line "I will ensure every poor county in America has a community or rural health center." No drug price negotation either. Huge corporate welfare at our expense.

Another lie. Greenspan controls interest rates, not Bush.
" Thanks to our policies, homeownership in America is at an all-time high." Low interest rates are the only reason for more home ownership, as well as a huge real estate bubble so most people cannot afford a home.

Another lie about Kerry. Kerry is for keeping and expanding middleclass tax cuts. Bush is the biggest spender in history and his tax cuts for the rich make up 50% of his record deficits. "His policies of tax and spend — of expanding government rather than expanding opportunity — are the policies of the past"

This is a big lie. We now know the Bushies were planning to invade Iraq no matter what even before 9-11.
They did not wait for UN inspections or exhaust their options, they moved too fast without proper pre, planning or allies. Also, COndi Rice and Colin Powell can both be seen in F-19 saying on camera in 2001 that Saddam was no longer a major threat to us and was in a box.

"After more than a decade of diplomacy, we gave Saddam Hussein another chance, a final chance, to meet his responsibilities to the civilized world. He again refused, and I faced the kind of decision that comes only to the Oval Office — a decision no president would ask for, but must be prepared to make. Do I forget the lessons of Sept. 11th and take the word of a madman, or do I take action to defend our country? Faced with that choice, I will defend America every time.

Here is another big lie of the Bushies. The 87 billion vote. We all know that Kerry simply wanted this money to be partly paid for and accounted for. Bush refused and now the money is gone, squandered. Kerry's fiscally responsible move in no way jeopardized funding of our troops and Bush knows this.

"$87 billion in funding needed by our troops doing battle in Afghanistan and Iraq. My opponent and his running mate voted against this money for bullets, and fuel, and vehicles, and body armor. When asked to explain his vote, the Senator said, "I actually did vote for the $87 billion before I voted against it." Then he said he was "proud" of that vote. Then, when pressed, he said it was a "complicated" matter. There is nothing complicated about supporting our troops in combat.
