Kerry lied through his teeth.

Here is a transcript of Cheney's speech:

Perhaps you or someone else could tell me where Cheney said Kerry was "unfit"?

Ted, I love it. The Kerry campaign is coming unglued. The RNC focused on Kerry's record in the Senate, and Kerry is once again inflating his service in Vietnam.

I knew Kerry's buttons can be pushed, and that "simpleton" from Texas is pushing them with significant results. Kerry couldn't even think of his own words to describe Bush, and instead steals the very word that the Swifties use to describe him. It's plain and obvious, and I'm sitting here amused at it all. ;-)

Ted,

The guy is in panic for no reason (yet). So what if Bush ends up 3 points up vs. 3 points down. It is barely September. He should have stayed where was, watched the TV, consulted with advisors, and started out fresh in the morning.

The panic mode can only hurt him.

re: EDIT.YES! EDIT.YES! EDIT.YES!

Seems like he is going into Howard Dean mode:

Ted Re...Yes! Finally!

"Yes finally" what? Are you trying to say Kerry's remarks were good hard hitting answers to the bombs thrown at the rep. convention. Think again ole unwise one.

``For the past week, they attacked my patriotism and my fitness to serve as commander in chief,'' Mr. Kerry said. ``Well, here's my answer. I'm not going to have my commitment to defend this country questioned by those who refused to serve when they could have and by those who have misled the nation into Iraq.''

Cheney didn't say that. Zell implied it though. However Zell didn't get five deferments, and Zell didn't mislead us into Iraq, any more than Kerry himself did. ONce again Kerry ducked the questions, he could have, at least partially answered, by releasing his war records, just as GW did. Why does Kerry have a problem with that?

cozying up to the Saudi Royal Family and letting the Saudis ``

Once again proving that he, Kerry, has joined the Michael Moore far left extremist element of the Democratic party.

``Handing out billions of government contracts to Halliburton while you're still on their payroll makes you unfit,''

Another unfounded, Michael Moore type, outrageous accusation. Kerry had better be able to back it up, with proof. Cheney made general, flip flopping charges, backed up by Kerry's own record. Kerry made specific, so far unproven, charges, that Cheney personally was involved in awarding of contracts to Halburton. Those charges were easily made, but will be far harder to prove. Time for Kerry to put up, or shut up.

You may be elated over Kerry's reckless charges, but time will tell if they were wise. My bet is the opposite of yours.
