Did they use the birth/death adjustment to create gains in June/July as well?

yea right but they added 120,000 Death Birth Ration of which around half are low paying jobs in leisure and health care etc.

In the US we need something around 240K to stay even based on population growth as such we are at -100,000 in job growth deficit.

So we are more or less at same level as Europe
