Hey, did you know John "I'm-a-war-hero-and-he's-not" Kerry only volunteered because he got turned down on his own deferment request? And did you know... That he enlisted in the Navy because there was a significant chance he wouldn't see combat if he was in the Navy as opposed to the Army or Marines? And... That he volunteered for Swift Boat duty at a time when the boats were engaged only in Coastal patrols, thereby lessening the chance that he'd find himself in harm's way? I wonder what went through John-I-Was-In-VietNam-and-I'm-A-War-Hero Kerry's mind when the Swift Boats were deployed into the Mekong Delta.
