And it is. A theological semnary (Episcopal) across the street (My wife graduated from it a year ago with a Masters degree in theology); another one a half block away (Methodist); Northwestern University next door; Kendall College two blocks away (I was president of Kendall College for twenty years); lovely houses, huge old trees in abundance; but the 100 year old houses of Chicago's rich folks of the early 1900's have been bought and reconstructed by a young, academic and professional class who got rich during the recent internet bubble.

And so us old folks hang on to our classic homes and tend our 100 year old trees while trying to talk some sense into the nouveau political tree hugging democrats who would rather be politically correct than right.

Makes for a stimulating mix. But I wish they would not steal my Bush/Cheney 2004 yard signs.
