CR bans him..

Message 20484068

And a couple of posts later, Chinu, totally unaware of this fact, is talking to the person who's just been banned by CR..

Message 20484088

I've noticed before that this CR person is the one who does a lot of the banning over there, at times seemingly without even consulting Chinny. It sure looks like CR has Chinu's login and password and uses them, at least on occasion. If this isn't a TOU violation, then maybe I'm reading the terms wrong..

That would only be possible if the moderator has either provided his login information to the other person or access to his logged-in workstation. Should we detect that both accounts are being used (for posting purposes) by what may appear to be the same person, both accounts could be subject to termination.

I don't know of CR is really doing the Bans/Unbans on that thread, other than his apparent claims of doing so. That's a new "twist", at least to my recollection. If it looks to be a problem in the future, we can track it on the new site. However, I think we'll be allowing thread "assistants" a la iHub at some later date, but that will be visible to the users.

Anecdotally, that thread does often appear to be run by committee. It goes from cheerleading to debating to bashing, and the "rules" of what is and isn't permissible seem to change with the phases of the moon. Whatever floats the participants' boats, I suppose.
