Medicare Premiums To Rise By 17.5% As most Americans began the Labor Day holiday weekend, federal health officials held a late-afternoon briefing to announce that the 42 million disabled and elderly Medicare beneficiaries will be hit with the largest premium increase in 15 years. * This is pure $$ into the corporte cronies of Bush out of the pockets of seniors. This is the same as the big oil companies soaking us on energy prices and what's next? Retirement. priivatizing social security to put the money into the hands of big insurers and Wll Street tycoons. Meanwhile we dump 2 trillion in derficits on our kids and outsource millions of US jobs overseas. This is the Bush economy.
