That "liberal rating" the Bushies use is pure BS. It is only based on the one year Kerry was running for prez when he happened to return for one womens right vote and new other rightwing attempts to tempt him into wedge issues. Look further and you'll find Kerry is a solid centrist-progressive and just as strong on defense as rightwing zealot Zell Miller. Exact same defense budget voting record.

One more huge Bushie lie

The National Journal's vote rating, which anointed Kerry the most liberal senator in 2003, is a bad joke.

National Journal's methodology for rating Senators in 2003 is so skewed that the magazine has already announced it will change it next year, the DLC said.

The National Journal admits it did not account for the fact that Kerry missed many votes in 2003 because he was out campaigning. Instead, the National Journal labeled him "most liberal" based on only 19 out of 62 votes, many of which were baited traps put out by the GOP in order to force Kerry to vote against anti-abortion rights measures and similar wedge issue BS.

On the important issues like economy, war and budgets, Kerry is right in the middle. His environmental, energy and health care votes are also identical to McCain. His defense budget votes are idential to Zell Miller.

Bushies, stop lying!
