There was little contact, and no support, between Saddam and 9/11. The 9/11 commission even came to that conclusion. We also invaded Iraq because they were allegedly a threat with WMDs - another lie. First two reasons shot. Finally, the administration had to fall back on the 'Saddam was a bad man' excuse; a distant third. If we invaded every country that was run by despots, we'd be in North Korea, Burma, China, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, ... Meanwhile, bin Laden (remember him?) is off scot free...
