We would be very arrogant to pretend we even come close to understanding any of the complexities of climate or variances in the solar output of the sun. Thats just basic common sense. Yes, scientists have collected data from ice packs. The problem is correlation. Trillions and trillons of variables we have no possible way of understanding yet. Again, that is just basic common sense. What you are talking about is the hijacking of the scientific method for political gain. It is not real science. I would back up this argument with examples of voodoo science used for politics. 1) The Population Bomb (Malthusian theory has thoroughly been discredited). 2)The World is runing out of oil craze in the 1970's.(We should be almost out of oil now.) 3)In the 1970's the climate story was of an upcoming new Ice Age. All the same talk of science proving its existence based on models and core samples ect. 4)Y2K.The world didn't shut down as the computer science experts said it would. This is all part of the normal spin campaigns of certain special interests. Don't fall for it.Look at the history of all the so called scientific predictions.
