Like friggin DUH! That is why there are research grants for improvement of a promising resource. One that is abundant.

I actually agree. Talk of a hydrogen economy by politicians of all stripes is pure BS. Nuclear energy is the ultimate answer.

Congrats! That's actually a well reasoned post. Aside from the fact that it takes a lot of energy to produce hydrogen, there is the Hindenburg problem of using it to fuel cars. It will need to be highly compressed in a storage container in order for it to be viable... And I don't relish the though of driving around with a bomb in my trunk, ready to go off in a collision.

And you're 100% correct that private industry should be left alone to develop energy sources.
