Yeah, thanks.

You also have to think about how much the half-billion or more that eventually we pay to Iraq could be helping programs like Social Security...

I think you realize it is totally meaningless.

Your numbers are very similar to the ones I found. Assuming that you, Z and I are correct, then this is another example of GOP mendacity. DR made is post throwing in the word arguendo to make it look all intellectual and professional, added some numbers and never bothered to back it up with a link. He does this over and over again in his posts. At first I never bothered to check, assuming he wouldn't bald face lie but now I check every time and 2 times out of 3 his comments are BS.

And then there is Joe saying that everyone confused Arnold's English and misunderstood what he meant. The GOP has thrown the rules out the window.......say whatever you want, whatever sticks works. Its as simple as that. And Americans fall for it because we are too lazy to check things out.

combjelly,

Unfortunately this one is light on methodology, but it fits in with my general sense...

I think it would have to be very heavy on methodology to make any sense. Taxation (individual) is a mix of income tax, payroll taxes and value added / sales / excise taxes. Then, there are corporate taxes that individuals eventually pay.

To make any sense out if it is not a simple project.

Joe
