And then what? Release his records and have the people discover that there is nothing there just like the WMD fiasco?

What a boost that would be for Kerry! If there's nothing there, the smartest thing he could do would be to open the whole bag, shake it out, say "there, I told you so," and watch the embarrassed faces.

Why wouldn't he do that if there were in fact nothing there? It would shut the whole controversy -- and me -- up in a matter of days.
