Spain has shown the past is not like the present. They turned from a historical power into butter in terrorists hands! Fate sealed!
Germany is already whinning about their economy going to trash once our troops are repositioned. Instead of our govt saying thats they way chips fall,, they just should have said nothing with a huge grin!

I understand your reaction to some of our newer posters who do not understand that while some Europeans are very anti-American or appeasers that does not imply all hold such opinions. They don't have the history that some of us have with your very reasoned opinions.

However, you become nationalistic with the comment: Germany delivers more commercial goods and services to the world than the USA or any other country. With nothing to back it up! :-)

I would suspect that given its size, the US economy is not just the worlds largest importer, its probably in the top 5 on exports as well. I suspect if we narrowed our economic view to the automotive industry - you would be correct.
