longnshort, this summer has just about convinced me that global warming is not a major problem. Starting in 2000 for 3yrs in a row the East Coast of USA had 90degree heat almost every summer day. There were droughts for 2 of those yrs.
This summer's weather has almost dismissed my concerns. We've usually had daily rain, avg temps in high 70s & often low 70s. 90deg days could be counted on one hand. That's highly unusual for the east coast but was also very welcome from the usual heat. It's still very difficult to believe that all sorts of emissions do not have an atmospheric effect. Especially with China's smoking factories. Seems to fly in the face of logic to believe there's no effect. My concern has been relieved this summer. We'll see how it goes next yr.
