I live in SV roomie and we are not experiencing the same kind of housing bubble as elsewhere in the country, LA and Las Vegas for example are the really hot areas, not here.

Noe Valley in SF which is a high tech enclave is lower than in 2000 price-wise if you look at mean values. The high end houses fell and low end rose. Not the same as a bubble that lifts all boats.

I just think people have nowhere else to put their money in this crappy stock market. And oh joy, inflation is back so RE is once again the inflation hedge. This economy really sucks.
