All over the US, in small towns and cities, there is what is called "urban decay". The revenues have decreased because people don't have jobs and income tax and sales tax etc, have gone down as a result. Police and fire services are being cut as a result.

The "quality of life" in the US is declining considerably and it is not just in healthcare that we see this happening. I am confident that in the next 4 weeks, when Hurricane Frances is over and people tune in to their TVs and see the real issues in front of them it will all boil down to that famous Clinton adage "It is the economy, stupid."

Hey Mephisto. We made it through with just some outages. My power bills are up 50%.
How ya'll been? I'm sick of hurricanes.
