Let's not forget about how that funny money was also pumped back into the economy. And the IRS was taking its share every step of the way.

Bottom line: An inflated economy led to inflated revenues for the Feds. All because of the "New Economy" that Clinton himself took credit for.


Dude, you seem to forget....under Clinton, the unemployment rate dropped from 7%-4%.......that meant a hell of a lot more people....sorry.....a heck of a lot more people were working and paying taxes. That was one of the major sources of increased tax revenue........another was an increase in the federal sales tax.....more people buying. And more corporate taxes because corps. were doing well.

You see.......when the gov't is running things well everyone prospers and benefits, and not just the rich. ;~) Its also one of the reasons why since WW II, stocks under Dem. administrations have gone up by 11% per year whereas under the GOP they've gone up a much smaller 7% per year.
