i met my first journalist in rhode island in 1972 or so during gas shortage. the nightly news on local tv had none of my comments in his report. I expected it as he told me after camera shut down he didn't care what the truth was only the story.

A great example is also 60 minutes how they cut and paste interviews. Most folks who tell a different story never get it presented, what you hear is what 60 minutes want's to present. Our national papers for the most part , feed us the same trash.. finally we have cable fox and the net to research out various subjects.

at some point blaming the media gets a little old with all the alternative news outlets out there. Doesn't FOX have one of the highest ratings? Its obvious old habits die hard with this blame the media excuse. I can say that as someone who thinks this whole "war on terror" was a sorry ass mistake of the grandest proportions, to me it seems like the news media *supported* this mess from the get go. Many liberals think that way. But you don't hear me blaming the media. I know the media is reacting to ratings and that alone.
