That's because your question is idiotic? What wins the war on terror is getting after the terrorists. We didn't need UN permission to go to Afghanistan and get UBL. We don't need UN permission for anything, but UN cooperation...we could use that very effectively in the war on terror.

Unfortunately we failed in our objectives in Afghanistan, partly because we open up a can of worms in Iraq. As a result both conflicts are undermanned and under planned. In addition almost all the resources are coming from our country, including manpower and money.

Bush's response to 9-11 was not a response at all. It's now taken on a new direction. The Bush policy has been fueled by the neocons in the WhiteHouse and the Pentagon. It's a policy of a new world order where the US projects military strength in order to control resources such as oil. Unfortunately folks in the middle east take a dim view of having their oil stolen at gunpoint...and as a result we can expect another decade, or more, of terrorism. If Bush is re-elected, another two decades of terror and isolationism.
