Scroll back to the Clinton Whitewater investigation. They were initially investigating a 20 year old land deal. That made no sense either. It's a proven Repugnican tactic. Full employment for investigators and snoops. Find anything that can be used to smear. Why are Kerry's awards being investigated? Why not all veteran's awards, and the award process? The Bush chickenhawks hate veterans, especially Vietnam veterans. They've made a career of smearing them, but it has deep roots. Nixon smeared McGovern, a WW II bomber pilot and another hero, as a hippie peacenik.
