Could you substitute palestinians for chechens? Fro, the "right" side of my brain it seems that the only way to deal with terrorists is as sharon has. Is that putin's lesson to be learned?
Or from the "left" side of my brain, is there a way to deal with the moderates on that long list of grievances in such a way as to neutralize terrorist influence over time? It seems almost impossible to do both at the same time. Mike

It is almost impossible to do both at the same time, mike, because the very first thing that terrorists do when they take over a movement is shoot the more moderate leaders and make sure that anytbody who suggests negotiations will be shot as a traitor.
