colleague Bob Schieffer was hardly fairer. He focused mostly on style.

"The last part of this speech was the best part of the speech. But it took him a long time to get there. I think the speech, quite frankly, was too long. We were told that he was going to lay out a bold program, a bold agenda for the next four years. I'm not sure he did that. As you say, he did lay out a list of ideas. Many of which have been around for quite some time."

this sounds pretty fair to me about Bush speech. i found it kind of long, the first half of speech Bush was having difficulty reading and presenting it. It didn't come across with his energy. it was like a state of the union speech imo.
In the second half he did terrific. His emotions over the finding the terrors, the military, expressed how totally committed he is in his beliefs and his emotions on this subject. It appeared he had difficult getting through part of end of the speech without breaking down. I am sure voters watching believe in this man keeping his commitments on the war on terror.

Rather is a jackass that should have retired to his ranch several years ago.
