Speaking of Springsteen...

I attended the sold out Dave Matthews concert at the Gorge Ampitheater last night in Washington State. The Gorge is an open air bowl, above the Columbia River. The river is bordered by 500' basalt cliffs that are just spectacular. The stars were out, the moon rose, and the Dave Matthews Band put on a kick-ass show for a well-behaved crowd.

I was a bit worried that Dave would launch into some political rhetoric, since he is part of the Springsteen Tour for Kerry that is coming up shortly. But no. Nothing political. In fact, about the only things Dave said during the concert were an occasional, dry, "thank you" to the crowd.

My hat is off to Dave Matthews for keeping politics out of his act.
