Now we're talking ... Kerry has to explain himself ...

.......... He needs to tell the people that he believes in giving the President as much power as is necessary. But he expects the President to use that power properly.

Bush abused his "war powers" by not being patient and developing an international coalition. The inspectors would have eventually determined that Saddam had been disarmed and was running a shell game.

Instead, we have $150 billion down the drain, no serious contingent of allies, and almost 1000 dead soldiers. We now even have an irrational discussion of resurrecting the draft. Kerry needs to talk about the insanity that has been essentially provoked by Bush. He needs to quit explaining himself and attack Bush. Bush is an easy target.

I agree about Lockhart. I saw him Sunday, and he was great. Kerry needs a good spokesman. Maybe his future press secretary?

Lockhart opened the door for Kerry to clarify things ...

.......... He's going to need to get his Iraq "war powers" vote understood by the semi-literate public that basically likes to sabre-rattle.
