But you ARE assuming the US has OBL and is holding him in secret to time the news of his capture. To do THAT means that someone, very likely right at the top of the gov't, is engaging in a conspiracy of silence. It's not that conspiracies never occur. They do, and commonly. It's just they're usually bungled and become public knowledge. The Lincoln assassination was a conspiracy. The JFK assassination, according to the 2nd report, was one. Watergate was a conspiracy. Of course, if a conspiracy is successful, you can never prove there was one, and if it's REALLY successful, you never even suspect it. Those possibilities are what keep Duray et al in business.
