Many people who can't acknowledge their own shortcomings always rationalize their personal faults by blaming others. That's what so many Vietnam War protesters did. They were thrilled when John Kerry's testimony validated the falsehoods they were spreading about all Vietnam veterans. Those who try to continue those false accusations today are pure cowards who can't face themselves in the mirror. Of course Kerry knew the truth & simply used the lies to further his political career. He'a a despicable self-promoting scoundrel.
