Mish, the limit is only for SS, but not the Medicare portion, which has no limit. So you could use that. There are undoubtedly two drawbacks -- there's more of a reporting lag, and the biggie, you can't falsify it at will.

Why not just use FICA reporting and be done with it?

How is that more accurate than using state unemployment insurance roles like they do now?
