Karin,
Kerry didn't hurt the POW's... the war did. The war put our soldiers in danger. I can't accept that you blame john kerry for every hurt our vietnam vets felt. We know many of them endured the longest wartime captivity of any POWs in U.S. history... and that's a huge reason people who were in the states wanted the war to end. Why is that so shocking to you?

I have always admired our servicemen and think all who served in vietnam were brave men who endured quite extraordinary tribulation with their pride and sense of honor intact, apparently you think differently, as you basically state how our vet's lives were tortured by kerry's testimony. Well, most of our service boys were tougher than you give them credit for. The vast majority aren't whinning about kerry, many keep their heads about them and see his actions in that era as one mans opinion... I know many viet nam vets with a strong sense of honor that are not "crushed" by kerrys testimony and never were.

So, C'mon now. Why can't you fathom that war crimes do happen in war? Why can't you possibly imagine that kerry saw things in war that he knew were wrong and, in the prime of his youth, wanted to do anything he could to bring light to war horrors? He was a kid coming back from a horrific war for crying out loud.

Kerry did not side with the enemy during the war and you know it.

I am overwhelmed by the sacrifices extended by our servicemen for the freedom I enjoy... war makes me sick, but I respect, admire and have nothing but gratitude for servicemen who do their duty. Every democrat or republican I know that questions the war feel this way.

Keeping this issue alive like you are just opens up wounds that hurt people who served in vietnam, all over again. You are making our viet nam vets re-live their past horrors with your bitterness and for what? To get your political candidate elected? You know all this press opens up old wounds... YOU keep them open, why?

You seem to be so caring about our vet's... yet so willing to keep arguements alive that bring all that pain back... I just wish you'd let it go karin, people here know how you feel...enough already.

wuli

When Kerry got to the side of the enemy he put a bullet into him.

Not like Junior Bush who would rather 10,000 die in his place than to give up prime drinking time.
